Hi there,
Has anyone used a dive company called Bas Harts Diving in Curacao? If so, could you please provide me some feedback as I can't find any reviews for them online?

Thanks,
cruzbound

Bas Harts Diving joined Scubaboard last month; his website is registered in September of this year; I don't know this dive company (I am a dive instructor living in Curaçao); probably a recently started organisation and that explains why there are no references yet.

Hey Cruzbound,

Bas Harts Diving as a company started two months ago, but bas harts as a person has been an instructor on the island for 7 years.

We don't have trip advisor set up yet, but if you wanna get in contact with people we did diving with please look at:

Thanks,

Bas Harts

Hey cruzbound and gustele,

While I technically cannot say that I've used Bas Harts Diving, that is solely because I have not returned to Curacao since Bas Harts has been operating an independent company. I have both been on guided dives throughout Curacao and taken certification courses with Bas and I guarantee that you will not find a better time diving on the island. Bas is incredibly willing to customize an experience according to your diving interests and pursuits and he knows the island better than anyone I've encountered. He's an amazing photographer (just check out his Facebook page) and can serve as a personal guide, photographer, instructor, dive counselor, etc, all at once for you/your diving group. Apart from time spent under the water, I can think of nobody in Curacao I'd rather sit around with between dives to hear his stories and enjoy his company. I have little doubt that in a few years, he'll be one of the most well-known sources of dive guidance/instruction in Curacao -- so book him fast!

I give Bas Harts Diving my absolutely highest recommendation and welcome anyone to personally message me through ScubaBoard in order for me to answer any further questions that I can.

I did my training in Nashville, TN, quite a few years ago but never finished my open water to get my certification. I did my DSD in Aruba last year so when my girlfriend and I went to Curacao in October of this year, we really wanted to go scuba diving. We checked with the diving spot at the Hilton and they were booked so we were lucky to meet Bas Harts. First off, he's a really good guy and knows the island of Curacao. He offered to take us out for a dive and since we had already done our DSD, he took us out to do our RSD. He had some really good gear and showed us what we needed to know and then took us to one of the best places to dive on the island. We snorkeled at Playa Lagun and Playa Kalki the day before and thought we had seen it all. Then Bas took us to his special spot (one we NEVER would have found without his help!) and the reef was incredible. We went down to no more than 40-60 ft and saw some exceptional corals and marine life that I never expected to see. At no point did we ever feel like he didn't have everything well under control and his lessons beforehand were exactly what we needed to hear (and some of his tips I didn't even learn in dive school). If you want a dive instructor that can take you to an amazing spot with some good dive gear, then Bas is your man. Next time we go to Curacao he'll be the first one we call. He even took photos and made us a CD (he's an exceptional photographer so ask for pricing on a disc when you use him!) and he truly made our trip something we'll never forget. I turned some of the photos I made into a video montage and people are still telling me how amazing the video is. I tell them if they think that is cool, they should have been on the dive with us!

Our trip advisor is up and running!!!
