I can not speak for the hyperstretch but i was warned away from it from several people so i went with the bare.

I have had only 5 dives with the arctic sgs but i can say this...
IT IS WARM. The stretch of the suit is great more than enough for diving( maybe not gymnsastics) and the henderson does stretch more, but not much.

MY first dive with the bare i didn't think i was even getting wet, I felt like i was dry untill i got out of the water and took it off. Then i saw the smalll beads of water on my chest. The internal flip seals work great as well and no wateer down the back either.
Like i said i havn't trieed the henderson in water. BUT i kno wyou will be happy with the Bare. Where were you going to get it from if you dont mind me asking?

Hope this helps

Hey, what does "ROFL" mean?

(new guy)

Rolling on floor Laughing. I didn't know what it meant either, I prefer, lol or LMAO.

Ok, gf and I both did our open waters in a Henderson Hyperstetch. We've been through 3 seasons in them and LOOOOOOOOOVE them soo much! had over 100 dives this year alone and wouldnt trade them in for anything, warm! comfortable! DURABLE! pilling does NOTHING to affect the suits warmth and ours arent coming appart anywhere. ALSO there is a 2 year warrenty from henderson where they wil fix or replace it if anything is wrong. Buy one to fit you, dont buy too small, the stretch is amazing, the fit is unreal. My local dive shop, my buddies AND our instructors all wear Hyperstretch and swear by them.
I've been comfy in 36 degree water at 96 feet for the entire dive and i believe its because I made sure i got a great fit. (hands got a little cold but untill henderson hyperstretch gloves come with kevlar i wont go that way)
I've seen other divers on our charters with the bares and they were not comfortable nor warm by the second dive.
Hyperstretch all the way.

Sorry spoke to soon, your're right, in 36 Degrres Celsius you would be warm, yea it's true you tend do get a little chilly at that temperature with a hyperstretch, now I know why the people in the Bares where uncomfortable, 36 Degree Celsisus is to darn hottttttttttttttttttt for a Bare!!!! ;) ;)

(I hate Henderson they made me waste 300 bucks on that garbage, luckly Bare was so nice, they even gave me FREE BOOTS)

fahrenheit, thought maybe someone in california would understand that better...

The original post was asking what people thought of either or. I replyed with my experience. Don't need you to believe me nor do I need to explain.
I live in Canada and my only diving has been in cold water so far. I haven't had a bad experience with my hyperstetch after 3 years. 2 piece 7 mm and that suit owes me nothing after all the good diving I have done in Tobermory and the great lakes.
No need to get nasty, its personal experience. You dont like it thats your thing, I like it and thats my thing.

First, I was j/k on that first sentence, no need to get hot headed on this thread. Just telling everyone on my experience that the suit provided me for two weeks after it turned to trash, though it was comfortable in my warm pool that was heated ;)
