Some friends just did some diving on the northern part of the west coast and said the reefs were not as good as the south coast.

It may just be me, but I think ALL reefs are having a "tough year". I was in Bonaire recently and the reefs were no where near like when I first dived them. My last dives in Barbados were much better than in Bonaire.
Regardless, I still think Barbados has so much to offer the diver...and ....the non diver....that it is a very superior vacation spot. Of course I respect others opinions to not concur....I just know where I will be spending my next dive vacation. BARBADOS!!

I find it funny that even locals involved in the dive industry will sometimes say that Barbados is a great island to visit with great diving but do not think of it as a dive destination. Divers on the other hand have come here and said they love the diving and come to the island just for that reason, the rest of the place is a big plus. I also know that there are many return divers that plan to continue to come back as the reefs are very healthy and colourful with an amazing array of fish as long as you don't expect to see the big ones, sharks dolphins or whales although whales did show up last March and stayed for a few months.

Well I'm going in knowing what I've seen when diving in other places and it hasn't been that good so I'm sure I will be blown away by anything I see down there.

So I've contacted a few dive operations that were recommended and also ones that are affiliated with the hotel I am staying at and it seems that they do not do trips to the West coast so unfortunately the PAMIR is a no go.
I was told that they can do Asta and when I was looking into it I saw that there is a wreck right near it called the Friars Craig. Has anyone ever checked it out and would these two locations be a good location for a 2 tank dive?
I was also told by one dive operations that they go to the boot, but couldn't find any info on this.
Also is Carlisle bay worth it or would it be a waste considering I am only doing 4 dives (2 days- 2 tanks each day) the whole trip?
What are recommendations of other good wrecks in the south? I was told that they do they Stavro, but I'm not certified to that depth.

I got my shirt at High Tide. And to tell the truth, I have no idea where the dang shirt is!!
