OOA at 100', assume it is an equipment malfunction because we know that you keep an eye on your SPG.
Signal to your buddy OOA and get the octo or primary from them depending on DIR or other. Procede to the surface in a controlled manner.

Separated from the buddy? OOPS
Keep the reg in your mouth and start up. Keep an open airway making long exhales.
If the reg is still functional and it is a low air situation then you will get a couple of breaths as the reduced water pressure lets you get a bit more from the tank.
