I am in the process of setting up a small bank, and am in need of a few Manifolds.
Where did you pruchase your manifolds ?
I would like to use 3/8 " tubing and 3/8" valves for my system, and I have not found any manifolds that come in a 3/8" npt connection. Reason I want to go 3/8" valves is because I have them, and would like to use them. If I can't find any 3/8" manifolds, I will make one up out of 316 ss solid round stock .
Any help would be great.
Thanks, Jim B

The reason most manifolds for HP gas are 1/4" NPT is because the larger you go, the explosive pressure inside the manifold goes up VERY significantly as well. So most anything made for HP gas will be as small internally as possible for that application. I would suggest sticking to 1/4" ports on your manifold. I see you're in the valve indsustry, so you probably know all that information already, but if you do choose to go with 3/8" NPT, do you have snubbers you can put in the ports with the valve? I'd hate the think of how fast you'd lose gas if you ever had a rupture of a line with 3/8" NPT openings.

Buy them from Global or make them yourself from brass. Try to stay with 1/4" - you can always flog them on ebay and buy some in the right size.

If you insist on using the 3/8" valves, then you will be even happier you used brass - it is much easier to drill and tap, and the larger the port, the harder to tap.

You can buy SS manifolds from Mcmaster-carr in various sizes.
Try page 188 of the online catalog McMaster-Carr
I have part # 4839K722
Type 303 Stainless Steel Manifold 4 Outlets, 3/8" NPT Inlet X 1/4" NPT Outlet $70.22
Rated to 3500psi.

I used brass adapters to get the inlet ports down to 1/4". I used 2 of the 4 outlet ports for whips, the other 2 I plugged for possible future expansions.

I would definately avoid 3/8" stuff. You are gonna need all sorts of adapters to convert to 1/4" tube, check valves, whips, etc.

You can always use 1/4" NPT Tees and create a manifold as well. You can customize however you want and switch to JIC if you have JIC hoses. Though, I'd probably be wary of running O2 through a manifold made of Tees. Too many nooks and crannies.

I bought a bunch of O2 cleaned 4500 psi 6 port 1/4" brass manifolds and saw that the straight through ends (inlet and outlet/connector end) were 1/2"! Man ... I gotta pay more attention when I order stuff!
;)

If you are using 3/8" tubing, you can always use 3/8 tube to 1/4" NPT Swageloc fittings. I try to stay away from 3/8" NPT as much as possible.
