Bangka Island, North Sulawesi ... under threat of mining

Bangka Island (Pulau Bangka) is a beautiful piece of paradise in North Sulawesi, Indonesia, just south of the Philippines. The marine life here is lush and amazing, and is now under threat from mining. If you've dived this area, you understand the implications. If not, do a Google image search for "pulau bangka sulawesi" and you'll get the idea. Now picture this area with an iron mine in the middle of it.
