My husband and I are FINALLY going to do a dive trip in Indonesia Oct 2025. From the posts in Scubaboard we decided to do a liveaboard with Wunderpus or do a private liveaboard on the Mimic. Between Bali and Labuan Bajo we have 8 solid days of diving and 1 extra day of non diving. Instead of a 3 night/4 day liveaboard we can extend that for another day or 2 on the other boat OR I am open to suggestions. We have never been to Bali and love to hike and do things off the beaten path and away from tourists. Are there any MUST do dives around Bali or would you all recommend spending the majority of time diving around Komodo's? Also please let me know some of your favorite experiences besides diving that you had in Bali or Labuan Bajo. I have seen lots regarding Nusa Penida so that is on my radar. I am not sure when we will head over this way again since it's 25 hours of flying time. My husband is leaving Bali while I extend my trip another week down in Timor Leste.

I’ll be in Bali in early September for 2 days of diving in Nusa Penida, focusing mainly to see Mola Mola & Manta, before heading up to Banda Sea for schooling hammerheads. You may still get lucky to see Mola Mola in October.

Did not realize Banda sea was a location for potential schooling hammerheads! *adds to bucket list*

We still have some spaces, if you are interested.

Speaking of Timor Leste, I think there is a site there where you can see Dugong. I saw one in Alor.
