Bali and/or Lombok?

Thanks everyone for the great suggestions so far (to earlier posts). We have decided on aridive to Komodo.

Prior to the dive trip to Komodo we are going to stay on Saraya (off of Labuan Bajo) for a few days of relaxation and snorkelling.

We are wondering if we should try to go to Lombok as well? Or should we just spend the rest of our time in Bali? What areas are recommended? Interested in beaches, diving/snorkelling, nature, markets, etc. Seems that there is alot to do/see but not enough time. We have about 10 days (after the liveaboard and Saraya). Will that be too rushed?

Our total trip is 3 weeks.

Hi,

If you want to add a few nice dives after your live aboard, choose Bali. And you will have all the rest that you like ( nature, markets,...). My favorite spots: Candidasa and Nusa Penida. But in July August, you might have a lot of tourists there.

Lombok will be quieter, and more authentic. But for the dives, not the best place in the area.

If you have 10 days, maybe you want to make a mix. 4 days in Lombok can be enough.

Terrible choice that you have to make!!
