So my LDS was going to charge me $129 for the Emegency First Responder course. I bought the book and read it. But before signing up for the course I checked with the Red Cross. I went with them and got my adult CPR and Frist Aid certifiactions together for $55. Plus, I learned directly from a Red Cross Instructor/EMT/Fireman instead of a dive instructor.

Now I'm ready to jump in the Rescur Diver course!!!

I did First Aid/CPR through the Office of Emergency Management and paid $10. Do I win? ;-)
Have fun in Rescue. It can be a blast with a good instructor. Exhausting, but fun.

That it is!

EFR with AED was $45 at my LDS but I wanted the O2 cert. too , it was $60 plus the cert. cards

Your going to have fun in Rescue , will be tired , but very satisfied when you complete it

I agree...rescue was fun, but it kicked my butt on the second day at the beach. If I never hafta haul someone outta the water who outweighs me by 50 lbs it'll be too soon.

I've done it so many times over the last 20 years that I can now get it done in around an hour. I just challenge the test, do the skills, and I'm done. I always get paid for it, but I can't stand to sit in the class for that long of a period.

The instructor at work is an old battleaxe ( at least I think That description will get through the censors ), She refused to let me challange, so I had to sit through all the videos, the descusions and what not. We got a bunch of new infant dolls and I think she was proud of them, also our new GM, for some reason I can't fathom, seems to think that you should at least be present to get payed for the time. Going to have to work on that with him! I used to manage to get payed for doing 2 or 3 things at once.
