i am going on a cruise to nassau in about a month and want to do a dive, I wold like to go thrue a local dive shop oposed to doing a shore exursion, dose anyone have any suggestions?

Both Nassau Scuba Centre http://www.nassau-scuba-centre.com/ and Stuart Cove's http://www.stuartcove.com/ do a good job.

I do not recommend Dive, Dive, Dive Ltd or Bahamas Scuba.

Be sure to make advanced arrangements as you are cruise ship diver.

Be careful. . .Stuart Cove's is about a 45 minute drive from the cruise ship dock. You will need to arrange for transport and watch the clock.

Actually, now that Stuart Cove's has a satellite office open at Atlantis Resort & Casino over on Paradise Island cruisers can get to them much quicker.

Nassau Scuba Centre, Dive, Dive, Dive, Ltd & Cove's main office are all located down Lyford Cay way and are about a ~45 minute free shuttle ride each way.
