My wing has two sets of holes for the backplate and STA allowing two different heights. About 1-2 inch difference in height. This is a mach V. I tried both this weekend and didn't really notice a difference. Is there one set I should be using over the other? Thanks!

Sorry the pic is sideways. The left side is actually the top of the wing. I also notice there is one more hole more towards the middle. What's that one for?

You can adjust your horizontal trim a bit by moving the wing closer to your head or closer to your hips. And the lowest the tank can go is affected also.

I try to even it out so there's equal amount on either top and bottom end of the plate.

With me, my plate sits evenly over my Center-of-Gravity. So I try to sit my wing as such too.
Different plates are minutely different and so I have to use different holes on my Wing. My wing has 3 holes.
On a Dive Right plate, it's Center Holes. On my Palantic plate, it's the top wing holes.
I just make sure the plate sits evenly over the wing when I'm bolting down.

It all depends on your gear positioning, which is why some mfg's give more wing mounting holes and plate center holes.

Short people using a normal plate would probably have to shift the wing down to avoid the bulk of the wing being inflated above the back of their head for example.

Since it doesn't make a difference for you, string it up to which way makes you look less lopsided. ;)

Thanks both of you. Any ideas about that fifth hole in the center?

no idea as to the middle hole.

My best guess is structural integrity. You'll notice it's seated right below your top STA pad and makes a nice sandwich channel to feed your camband.
One intended use of the Mach V was you could string the camband through the wing only, and neglect the plate stringing entirely.

Center Grommet keeps the weight of the tank from running the camband down and tearing through the entire webbing stitching in your wing.

I haven't heard of an Oxycheq Accessory that utilizes the center grommet, to date.
