Interesting. So, how did they circumvent the laws of physics? ;)

I imagine they use folds to make the fabric extend outward when inflated. Not all jackets are cut the same. My old Beuchat would squeeze a bit. My older Seatech would squeeze even less.

And my jacket bc I would guesstimate the like 90% of the air is on my back with just a little coming across sides.

Air will always travel to the highest point of the BC. If the diver is horizontal there should always be more air on the back of a jacket BC than in the sides when the BC is partially inflated.
