Hi everyone. I'm a former Minnesota native. I used to go diving quite frequently, but I decided to put my fins on the storage rack once my 1st child was born. Well, the kids are now all grown and living on their own. I also moved to SWFL (Fort Myers) and got reactivated recently through Dean's Dive Shop (Estero). To get a few simple dives under my belt, I was thinking Key Largo would be a good choice. I see a few of the dive shops in Key Largo require single divers hire a "dive buddy" along with hiring a recommended Guide. It pushes the total cost of a 2 tank dive to nearly $200. Is anyone knowledgeable of a Key Largo dive operation that supplies a guide and allows single divers to be paired up (I guess it's called Instabuddy nowadays)? Thanks for your feedback!

Not sure about Key Largo, but as far as I know Captain Hook's at Marathon key does something more affordable, like one guide per a few divers without buddies. But better contact them directly, I might miss some details.
