Has anyone heard what depth the B.C. Ferry that struck a rock and sank a day or two ago, between Prince Rupert and Port Hardy in 45 m.p.h. winds lies in?

I have heard and watched many news reports but the depth wasn't ever mentioned.

Does anyone know? Wondered if (considering that they struck a rock) if it sank in technical wreck diving depths or far deeper...

There are two people still unaccounted for althought the Ferry Service insists that they were taken off before the sinking. Hoping for the best for them...

Keep going...the charts show it as up to 1500 feet. Latest reports place it around 1200 or so.

Should be an easy bounce dive with an AL80 and a pony...:D

Unfortunately it also looks like two bodies are onboard... :(

Yes, sadly, I just heard that too, on CBC news radio. (11:00 p.m.)
I figured it was likely to be 600 ft. anyway that far upcoast. It could've been an interesting dive. The likelyhood of fatalities dampens one's enthusiasm though...
Sad.
Thanks for the responses everyone.
