Ok, I'm about to bust!!! We just booked our second trip of the year to Coz. Couldn't pass up the price of the plane ticket.

I think I may have heard rumor of this here on the board, but it is no longer a rumor.

Starting in May, Ryan airlines is going to be running charters from Austin to Cancun for as low as $9.00 each way!!!!!!! Prices vary depending on day of the week, but he max price is $49.00 each way.

we just bought tickets for the Saturday before Labor day thru that Wed. and with taxes and everything the total was $350 for both round trip tickets.

sure I have to drive to Austin from Dallas and take the shuttle to Playa and the ferry to Coz., but for that price, I think I'll make it.

Wow?! :11:Kinda silly, isn't it - with the cost of fuel and all. This was not in yesterday's TZoo newsletter, which did include $89 from DFW if I remember correctly. I guess this is a way to get the word of mouth & internet going, and when others log on to find the $9-29 fare, many will give in and go for $90...ilot:

Old news for us. We got our tickets a week ago for $10rt. By the time they add the taxes and fees the fare ended up being around $140 each. Go to the Vivaaerobus site and look under the "Promotions" tab for details on a 35p discount on the ferry.

We live almost within spitting distance from each other! We are just outside of "Driftwood proper" close to the double crossing of 150 and Onion Creek.
