How can I change my avatar?

In a thread, how can I stop every posting member's full personal info from showing, to save screen space? How can I start it showing again if I need it?

I take it you're talking about Status/Profile Info/Stats? If so, you cannot influence that. You can however use the ScubaBoard Classic skin (see lower left corner for the Quick Style Chooser).
