I just don't log dives
woohooo... i went diving today... first time in over 2 weeks!

i really was going to whimp out but Petunias talked me into doing it and despite the crap vis and lack of critters i really enjoyed it!

got to dive with Tig's hubby too so hopefully Shelia will have some pics later

Hey good stuff :) Looking forward to Sheila's pics.

I got out for two dives today. One buddy had Rescue class and Paul has the flu and an ear infection so I cancelled the boat dives me and Paul had planned and did some shore dives myself. Was about 15C in the water and I was diving wet (really gotta figure out how to get my drysuit on myself... the next one will have a front zipper!). It was a nice day on top though so I stayed warm enough. Did two 75min dives at Portsea and Blairgowrie Piers. My highlight was finding a nudi I had never seen before! :)

Here is the nudi - still finding out ID

Hey everyone! Well for my Birthday this weekend Hubby shouted we the wreck speciality course at our LDS. We both did all our book work and tests before the big day. On the 3rd ( My birthday) we did a double dive on Ex HMAS Brisbane. It was fantastic!! Then on Monday we did a little dive on a sunken speed boat which we mapped. I had a great time. Can't wait to go out and get wet again.....seems like so long since I was able to with all the bad vis and bad weather.

My camera was playing up but Phil got a good shot of AW's baby weedyseadragon

Hahaha I like the grumpy fish petunia :) Did you find those sunnies under the water or bring them along?

I have done some diving lately but not many pictures. I did a night dive last week at Williamstown but my flash did not work :( Same thing happened on my first dive yesterday and I believe it was because it got a bit foggy inside and covered the sensor? Yesterday I went and did a dive at Rye Pier and then Mornington Pier. I dive Mornington heaps at night but rarely during the day. The fish life at this pier during the day is incredible! At night too, if you shine your torch into the distance you can see lots of pike swimming around.

At Rye and Mornington viz was crap as at Rye there were lots of little shrimp in the water making things all blurry. Mornington was just dirty too! After my day dives Michael joined me for a night dive (he was busy during the day and Paul is sick atm - ear troubles - so has been dry for two weeks :depressed:). The viz had cleared up heaps and was about 5-6m, which is good for Mornington. I found my first alive Wollongong bug (seen a bunch of dead ones) and we spotted two of them all together. There was also a huge Smooth Stingray, which gave me quite a fright appearing out of the dark :rofl3:

Got a lot of diving planned this month. :) Though getting chilly, now down to 14C. :cold: I might even do my 200th dive this month too :shocked2: (Up to 191 now)

Toadfish - will only pose at night when they love my torch beam. Never gotten near them during the day time!

Old Wives schooling - there are always heaps at this one spot under the pier

Hehe thought this pic was cute and reminded me of pacman though with a Pygmy Leatherjacket as a ghost :D

Me after the dive, I inflated my drysuit heaps and floated around the water :)

Nice pics Sas ... especially like the one of the pygmy leatherjacket

You are getting some great shots Sas but my fav is the pacman shot that is awesome! I love unusual composition and that one take the prize!

I have found on occasion I have accidentally turned the forced flash off. I also find that in cold water with low battery it takes a while to charge enough to flash as well.

We cleaned the lense on my "problem camera" and it seems to be working now. It may be that I had hit the button and turned off the macro setting as well. :idk: so easy to hit the wrong button sometimes and not realize.
