One of our dive buddies just got back from that trip. Nice shots of the Great Whites.

The octopus is Common Sydney Octopus. Mark Norman states in A Guide to Squid, Cuttlefish Octopuses of Australia "It is easily identified in the field by it's white eye" The orange arms are also ID points. We see a fair number of these. They can get quite large and are good at colour changes and large papillae which they raise to produce a spiked appearance.

Love the shots bf.. so where are you from in OZ.. where do you dive mostly?

Do you know Sas then? We went to Melbourne last year to dive with Sas. Burna and crew. Loved the pier dives there! We didn't manage to see a Tasseled Angler :( but got some great dives. It is interesting the things you consdier common place we get excited about.. the things you consider exciting we consider common place! LOL all about where you live and the native critters hmm?

They had seen a Tassled Anger but it was in hiding when we were there. We dived Portsea, Rye, Blairgowri (x2), Morninginton Piers. Really enjoyed the dives. The Tassled was supposed to be at Blarigowri:(
