ick - sounds like you need another dive shop

It is just one guy, who owns the shop. I have been fairly blunt about why I am shopping elsewhere now so he has stopped telling me BS. I am fairly gullible normally  so he probably saw me coming! But Scubaboard + Diveoz people have given me heaps of advice so I have wised up now ;) Also I get my gear serviced elsewhere now at Scuba Doctor, the guy in there is like 'oh buy your regs online, its cheaper than my shop' and half the time he spends convincing my buddy he shouldn't be buying certain things as they aren't needed. :rofl3:

The store owner is actually teaching my Rescue class, and I have found him to be an excellent instructor! He's patient and encouraging, and knows a lot about diving. Just can't trust him regarding gear...

oh, and
fins2.gif

noooooooooooooooooooooooooo splits!

you should see me diving now... i have 2 fins in different shades of colour/yellow

i STILL miss my orignal fin :crying:

Yes I can imagine :( I am not too attached to any of my gear yet to miss things... But my buddy has had to give up his snorkel as we are diving with long hoses now and it is too hard to donate with his snorkel in the way. He is pretty devestated. :rofl3:

With splits, I don't know many stores that sell them. Both stores I go to do not have them  My friend has a pair so maybe I should try first, but I do like my paddle fins, just not how they float my feet to the surface. :P

hubby has these ****** HORRIBLE split fins... oceanic V16's or something like that

the only good thing about those is setting fire to them. they are a rigid fin and with his finning style you are always following a trail of destruction :shakehead:

although i hear very good things about the V12's and hubby says they are better than the V16's.

When you come to Sydney that is another thing you will be able to try ... we will lure you away from the dark side :rofl3::rofl3:
