We dived Shelly yesterday found the pineapple fish and just had a nice relax. Water temp was close on 20 most of the dive and we were in our 3mils so it seemed tropical. Did 2 hours 35 minutes for a new record.

Fish found this NUdi.. we haven't seen one before.. I think it may be a Black Gilled but the Rhinophores don't seem to be nearly as large as the ones on the example in Nevile Coleman's book

Oo cool shots petunia! Glad the pineapple fish are going strong :)

I got in five dives over the weekend so a bit tired today! On Saturday me, my regular buddy Michael, burna + another friend did two shore dives. First was a nice dive with good viz. I was diving alone so took my time going along the pier and saw some cool things such as a giant ray, a blue ring octopus that had no blue bits (completely brown - usually they show a hint of blue) but then a fish swam past and it lit up like a Christmas tree. I was also hanging out near a rock watching the octopus when this wrasse kept swimming around my face - usually they are skittish so I couldn't work out what it was up to - anyway all of a sudden it darted near my hand and got a huge mantis shrimp in its gob :P

We then headed to Rye Pier to see if the 3m wobbegong was still around but the viz was terrible so all the fish had left and therefore the wobbe was gone. :(

I stayed over night down there as I had to be up at 6am for some boat dives. We headed to a Marine Park in Nepean Bay with the local photographer's club. Saw lots of fish and it was a nice dive other than I got strangely cold - usually my cold tolerance is pretty good but this dive I was fairly miserable. At the dive shop later they told us that a Great White was spotted in Nepean Bay during the time we were diving there (there's one been hanging around locally lately) but sadly I didn't get to see it! My buddy did not share my sadness though.

We headed to Pope's Eye then and had great viz at 15m! My buddy brought along a camera and took some cool shots including this one of me staring down a wrasse!

This fish followed us for the whole dive. We were also mauled by scalyfins and my buddy's hand was bitten by a wrasse but she was ok! My buddy also had a magnifying tube + loaned to me so I spent some time investigating what coral, nudis + ascidians looked like up close :)

I nearly bailed on the next dive as I was so cold but during our break at the dive shop I managed to dry out the inside of my suit which made a dive more appealing. We went to Blairgowrie Pier to try to find the tassled anglerfish again but it has moved on :( Saw some cool things like a big ray, many different kinds of nudis and lots of fish.

First time in a while I've managed to get that many dives in over the weekend! So a good trip :)
