Am I the only one who's been diving in the last two weeks!

After a terrible run of bad weather and a trip to Melbourne for a course I managed to get back in the water today after seven dry weeks. Conditions on top were perfect but once we got in we found that what looked like a very innocent long low swell on top was creating a lot of surge on the bottom and stirring up a lot of crap. Water was the usual winter 23-24°C and we got in two dives in Lighthouse Bay. I decided to use my 24mm fisheye lens (Tokina 10-17 @ 17mm on a 1.4X teleconverter). Here's a few of my favourite shots from the dives:

I like the second one the best!

Yea I have done a bunch of diving lately but not in Australia :) Planning on writing up a trip report when I have some time. Though this weekend I had to skip Melbourne diving (one of the few weekends I have missed ever) as I have been quite sick. Heading out for a night dive tomorrow.

Well I got out for my first dive in Melbourne since 1 Sep last night. Between a Rescue course, Fiji and terrible weather I only got in two dives in Melbourne this month. It was 1m viz and 12C water, so bit of a shock after 30m+ viz + 24C water in Fiji... but it was a lot of fun to see all the local critters again. My camera stopped working as soon as I arrived in Fiji and started working again when I got back to Melbourne. :shakehead: But, at least it is working now! :bounce: Though it will be replaced in December or so now.

Here are some pictures I took, nothing super exciting last night.

A fat toadfish, though it is hard to see how fat it was in this picture
