The one with the bubble deflector on only one side? My first thought was, "What problem is that supposed to solve?" I'm thinking maybe photographers would find it useful? Is that why you want one?

I have a new Kronos with about 10 dives on it. I love it. I thought the bubble deflector would be a bit gimmicky, but it is really amazing. The benefit to never seeing your exhaust is huge. I also like the feature where you don't have to put the dust cap on right away because the 1st stage valve closes as soon as you take it off the tank. No chance of ruining you reg by getting water inside.

Love my Kronos and would reccomend.

Actually bought the kronos. I bought because of photography. I like it alot. I like the fact no bubbles in my face. I'm the type who cant stand the windshield wipers runnin on my car.:dork2: so its nice. and since i'm a beginner i was less aware of my breathing wich let me relax.

I'm a newie so I don't have a lot to compare it to. It practically breathes for me when compared to the lds regs we used in class.

Turn your head so your left side is up & then get back to me about the bubbles

They do breath quite well, but how good a job they do on the bubbles is directly related to your orientation in the water. I both like it & find it terribly annoying.

I have turned my head many ways and I still like it.
I will have to admit that the bubbles near my right ear did take some getting used to though.

I do photography, and I bought it for that reason. The reg breaths great, and the bubbles in my right ear don't matter because I use a comm. Just flip the lever to "-" and no freeflow, if you need easier breathing flip it to "+" and you can really tell the difference.
