August/September - Komodo and/or ?

Hi,

planning a 3 week dive trip to Indonesia. I thought about a Komodo liveaboard. Where are the best places to see mantas in August/September?

Any recommendations for land-based diving in Nusa Tenggara?

I went to North Sulawesi last summer, and to Bali, Nusa Panida and Alor in former years.

Hi Liberty,

Two of the popular places to see mantas at Komodo are Manta Alley and Taka Makassar. You can see mantas at Komodo all year and you find out more about Manta Alley in our guide to diving Komodo.

Did you know August is the best month for seeing Mola mola (sunfish) at Komodo? Another great reason to visit!

Kalimaya located East Sumbawa, there's a cleaning station southwest of Gili Banta (and for other smaller stuff there's Sangeang for incredible macro)
Easy to combine both Komodo and Kalimaya..
