If you are talking about working distance then the 60 mm lens is great for macro, even better than the 12-50. I hated being limited in what I could shoot and stuck with the 12-50 for nearly everything.

I know what you mean. With the 12-50, you can shoot macro, then get some nice medium fish photos, and then on the surface, you can get some great boat photos, all with the same lens.

Margaret! Shame! Gloves in Cozumel? Isn't that forbade?

Jokes aside. You make my photographic efforts seem fruitless. I cannot believe how amazing your pictures look!

Beautiful photos as always. Glad I knew I'd need some time to go through your entire message / photo album but HOW LONG did that take to put together? I thought I put a lot of time into the event albums I do but I think you may be working harder than me. Larry

oh what joy I've felt enjoying this post! Thank you for sharing your picture treasures for those of us missing Coz! Well Done!

A little bit at a time. Each night of vacation I went over that day's pictures, deleting most and saving a few that I thought were keepers. A little post image processing, resizing for the web, and narrative completed my tasks. I would guess an hour or two each day was spent in editing images and prose. I have a fish list, so copy/paste eliminates a lot of typing. The boring part is putting in the html commands. So, over three weeks and a few days at home, I would guess about fifty hours were involved.

There's a wonderful book called "Bird by Bird." In this case, fish by fish.

I knew you had to put in several hours but that's even more than I expected. Good method though & one that keeps things fresh in your head as you cover each day. Fortunately my events are shot outdoors in decent light so I don't have things like white balance corrections to slow me down but when I'm in Coz my wife actually expects me to spend evenings with her now that she's retired & can stay up late. Great job on how you do it & on your great macro work.

Great pictures!!!

What kind of strobe set up do you use?
My husband noticed a lot of asymmetrical lighting in the photos that really makes them stand out so much more than the typical photo. It's really fabulous.
