I am under the impression that there is no difference in the Apeks CTX and the ATX. Am I right or is there a difference. If they are the same why the difference in names?

Thanks
BigDiver

I dove a ctx-50 this weekend, it worked great and looked identical to the atx-50 except the "c".

Here's your answer, straight from apeks.

Hope this helps,

Dave

(email from apeks follows)
A CTX regulator is the same as an ATX regulator, but they are only sold in Germany with the CTX name.

What is a CTX regulator?

Thanks,

CTX will be replaced by ATX....

i got answer from landon....they said that at first Apeks chose the name CTX.... but later they changed it to ATX... but the dealers in Germany already had ordered CTX-advertising material... so in Germany they kept the name CTX...

the only difference between CTX and ATX is the decal on the second stage and the fact that CTX is under APEKS-JWL (aqualung) and ATX in USA is under Seaquest...
