For anyone who is hard to fit. . .I am struggling to find a wet suit that fits-I'm pretty curvy (38-27-39) AND only 5'2" so of course i look really odd. . . is it difficult to get a wet suit tailor made? if not, where can it be done? can you order it done? I have an AWESOME scuba instructor that lets me try out different suits and see how i like them-problem is, I've gone through everything he carries. . .
Anyone else have this problem? Is there a specific wetsuit that i should try? Any ideas or input would REALLY be appreciated.

I've experienced similiar fit issues. I was actually able to get into several of the "stretchy" material suits without having to go custom. Some of the higher end manufacturers have extended sizing now.

If that doesen't work for you and you decide to go with a custom suit make sure someone else measures you and that they know what they are doing. If they have never measured for a custom suit before you'll end up with a mess...

Have you tried Henderson Hyperstretch or Bare Wetsuits? My wife has measurements in that neighborhood, she is just a little taller. She has found these two manufacturers to be suitable (pun intended).

Other that that go to any dive shows that you can. You will find people like www.wetwear.com who make custom suits. They can actually measure you at the shows and give you a quote. you can also call them with measurements and they can make you a custom suit.

Good luck.

I've had similar issues ~ if it's large enough for the hips then it's way too long! Bare has a larger range of stock wetsuit sizes than some brands, you can check them out at ScubaToys. Also try: www.seadreamswetsuits.com/ . They have terrific customer service - I took the online buying gamble and had to exchange a suit but had no problems doing so. I only wish they carried heavier wetsuits.

Good luck,
Lilla

awesome-what a great site-love thos mermaid things-how inventive. . .
Thanks for the info!!
Dig the bike! My first was a Kawasaki! I have a Suzuki GSX1000 now-LOVE IT.

What year Gixxer? Did you have it lowered? At 5'2" I'd think even the K5's are hard to move around if you're short?

WOW, I just checked this again-I was on the liquid fit website-and OMG-you guys are awesome! I've rarely joined these things, and they've never given such support! Thanks so much! I really appreciate all your help and I've found some AWESOME sites to get me going! Thanks again!

it's an '05-the last year they allowed the custom exhaust-i have an akrapovic- and I just put on a TRE (which i am SERIOUSLY considering taking back off-too much power for 120 lbs)
I didn't lower it, but I'm thinking about it-the only thing i'm worried about is my cornering ability-I will lose some . . .no more knee pucks :(
