Hello,

Has anyone got experience how to put these two together?

I did my very first big purchase on underwater photography equipment (I previously used my Canon S90 with the simple Canon housing and no strobe/wet lens etc) a few weeks ago and I've figured out everything else, except the tray.. Might be just me, but I can't figure out how the housing attaches to the tray because it's missing the tripod hole and it doesn't seem to fit the tray. And all the instructions are in Japanese.. :depressed:

I ordered my stuff from uwdigitalcamera.com and let the guy know that I'm a novice and asked if he could check that everything in my list is correct and nothing essential is missing. I got really quick and nice replies and had also read good reviews from this site about the online shop so I felt good about making the purchase. Now I feel quite frustrated as I'm going on a dive trip very shortly and I won't have time to order any additional equipment. Couldn't find any sound information on Google either.. All suggestions are welcome. :)

Aaand now I found a special Recsea W-tray for their housings on uwdigitalcamera.com

It's funny how you tend to find the answers for your questions as soon as you've posted the thread. :D

I understand now that this was the tray I should have ordered. Don't know how I managed to miss it on the webpage, but you all probably understand how overwhelming it is to put together your first kit and try navigate in the forums, online shops etc.. However, I did ask the provider to check my list and somewhat expected that everything I order will be able to be used as a kit. Too naive, maybe? :D

Oh well, looks like I will have to settle for just using my Recsea S90 + INON 550 focus light + INON UFL 165-AD lens for my 3 weeks of scuba diving in Thailand. :P

It really is quite simple to take a piece of 1/4 inch thick aluminum bar of appropriate width, usually available in homes stores and hardware stores, and then using a hand drill and a tap make an adapter for the 1/4X20 hole in the Inon arm to the two 1/4X20 holes in the Recsea housing. I have done this and similar many times.

If you don't feel handy, there are probably a bunch of local machinery guys who will takes Nemrod's idea and make it work for you.
