When I was talking with my LDS about my getting my Atomic B1/Ti2 serviced they told me of some "upgrades" that can be done. First adding a hose with a swivel in it. Second a new "enhanced" mouth piece. Third was a new exhaust T. Has anyone tried any of the upgrades and feel its worth it. Looking to hear either way.

Another possible upgrade is B1 to M1, apparently, as my local shop did this for me. I went to the Atomic web site a few minutes ago and its not clear what this accomplishes except environmental sealing, which would be worth it to me.

I saw the new exhaust T a couple of weeks ago and its much wider than the one that came originally on my B1/T2. When I saw it I immediately thought I need one as an upgrade as I think bubble interference was a major downside of the original B1/T2. I am going for one, even thought I only use this reg on a bailout bottle.

is the one off the M1.

I know people with both the B1 and M1 and they say the exhaust makes a significant difference in bubble interference.

The swivel (if you're into that sort of this) is way cool. A little pricey for a swivel ($75 COB and $125 Ti) but the design is what you'd expect from Atomic. Very cool design - way Ikea meets Cal Tech. Very nice.

I ordered the M1 bubble "T" - $25. If I'm not motoring, I get bubble hood - I dove an M1 last month and I didn't get that with the new "T". It was worth the $25 to me.

I'm not a fan of the two toned Atomic mouthpiece. I think they're more hoopla than anything else. They're now standard on most Atomic models now - mine is a 1999 model...nothing that nice back then.

Of the three in the ad (and what they're pushing currently...as well as their version of an AirSource / Air2) I think the "T" is the best value. I can live without the rest.

Want to really upgrade?

Trade it in for an APEKS. ;) Just kidding around. I personally don't think the upgrades are worth what the dealers usually want for them.

Didn't see THAT one coming....

:)

I'm glad it's being taken in the way that it's meant. I figured someone would start flaming me for being lightheaded,, er I mean lighthearted about it.. :D
