I am a newbie, and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a LP Hose for my SS1, called atomic today at 1.30 but nobody answered or returned my call.
LDS wanted $80 for a new one, seems steep.
Any help.

Hello Charlie,

Welcome to Scuba Board.

Yes, $80 is way too steep.

The SS1, ScubaPro Air 2 and Tusa Duo Air all take the same size hose fitting. So if you can find any one of those in the correct length you are all set. Another option would be to get a Miflex hose with the correct size fitting. Personally, I think the most versatile way is to get an adapter that screws into a second stage hose (including a Miflex second stage hose) that attaches to your inflator fitting. This way, if the hose ever needs to be replaced you just get another second stage hose.

Discount Scuba Gear at DiveSports.com - Buy Scuba Diving Equipment & Snorkeling Equipment
MiFlex Regulator Hoses - MiFlex Low Pressure Regulator Hose - MiFlex Braided Hose - MiFlex Regulator Hose
XS Scuba MiFlex Braided Alternate Air Inflator Hose

.....Never mind all that, send a PM to PhilEllis here on Scuba Board and let him know what you need....tell him to give you a discount and to send me commission.

Keep in the mind that the reason (they say) for the different quick disconnect is that it will flow more than a standard power inflator connector. It's possible that under the right conditions you might be able to exceed the amount of gas that the standard hose+adaptor can deliver. Or not...

All of the adapters that couv listed from DiveSports are the proper QD adapters to use for adapting a normal LP Regulator (not to be confused with a LP inflater) hose for use with integrated alternate air/inflater setups. None of those adapters could even be put on a standard inflater only hose w/QD.

P.S. I should probably add for clarity that the hoses that come stock with alternate air/inflater's are standard LP regulator hoses (not LP inflater hoses) with the same type of adapter as listed above, screwed-on the end.
