My wife and I have about 120 dives on our B2's & SS1's. You'll love it.

Just completed 3 dives at Wreck Alley on the new B2. Worked great! Unfortunately my computer malfunctioned on the last dive. All dives were between 95-80 fsw.

My GF had a few issues with her Oceanic GT-3 (similar to Delta 3) though. She said there was a noticeable difference in reg performance at different depths. Periodically I would see her attempting to adjust her reg at depth to compensate. It also developed a whistle at the first stage. She already returned one reg for doing that and now the replacement is doing it as well. At this point, she is thinking about a different reg all together.

She ordered a B2 today :)

Same rig my wife and I dive (B2 and SS1). With 100+ dives on them without a single burp, wiggle, or glitch.... They breathe the same at 100 feet as they do at 20, and I can't detect any difference in 50 degree or 85 degree water, fresh or salt... (That goes for the SS1 as well!).

You won't be disappointed... (spoiled, perhaps... but not disappointed)...

I doubt you would actually be able to feel and quantify the difference in breathing performance unless you bring different regs down to very deep depths.

In any case, i still think the M1 outperforms the B2 ;). Reason being, for both regs the cost is the same, the technical specs of both 1st/2nd stages however differs. I actually see the B2 as costing as much as the M1 only because you are paying more for the swivel hose which does not contribute to breathing performance and reliability. Take away the swivel hose and the M1 will now cost more than the B2 because of its tech specs.

Actually... no.

The B2 second stage is all-titanium construction, including a titanium valve body. The M1 incorporates zirconium/palladium, and zirconium/nickel over a brass valve body (along with other titanium parts). Additionally, the 1st stage on the B2 is brass and stainless, and on the M1 brass and monel. This allows the M1 to go up to 80% O2, (less titanium on the M1 2nd stage, and monel instead of stainless on the 1st stage, which is less O2 reactive). Titanium is lighter, stronger, however it's more O2 reactive.

The B2 (and the M2) comes with or without the swivel (which *does* make a cost difference). I agree it doesn't make breathing easier, however, it certainly makes it more comfortable holding the reg in your mouth, and being able to angle the lp hose in any direction (worth the $75).

Any case... you're paying for the titanium... which makes the T2 the most expensive...

Inane trivia... can't seem to shake it... sorry for the spec dump...
