Hey!

Does anyone have a review on the Atomic Aquatics “ARC lens technology” mask? Does it live up to what Atomic promises?

-Clearer, crisper vision. Objects in the distance will become more defined and acute.
-Increased contrast and clarity.
-Reduces eyestrain, glare, and prevents ghost images on the viewing area of the lens.

Thanks for any input!

i have the frameless one, superb :)

Fancy name for what I believe is low iron glass.

I have the Atomic Subframe with the ARC glass. I can't really tell the difference between that and some of the other higher quality masks that I've used, but the mask itself is the most confortable of any mask that I've tried. It's small, low volume and pretty durable. As a fanatic photographer, the mask is one of my more important pieces of gear and I am quite satisfied with the Atomic.

I don't think the frameless ones have the ARC lenses. Do they?

I think they're using the same glass material..
anyway the mask skirt is the most comfortable you'll ever try, besides the low volume.

The ones being talked about here have anti-reflection coatings ... http://www.atomicaquatics.com/vision.html
.. each change in density, water/glass/air could reflect away as much as 4% of the light ... with coated glass you could get as much as an 8% brighter image .. that would be on top of any improvement caused by using the more clear glass (wonder if it's BAK4?)
