I just got back from Atlantis. It was great. I am booking a group trip back there very soon. If you have the time and $ splitting a vacation between PG and their Dumaguete resort is a great way to go. Apo Island was incredible.

The guys here know you Mike. The Mike here was in Chuuk when I was there in December. I'm at Atlantis right now and it is great. Try and get one of the executive rooms, they are huge and have outside bars and huge terraces. The people and diving here are first class.

i also just came back from there and it was fantastic, verdi island was awsome, the people are great and the diving is unspeakable , i had the best time of my life, even the bar was great ,ha ha ha, oh and mike , i gave matt a bad time for you, i told him to come down from his office so i could pass on your gift(swift kick in the azz) he chose not too,lol, atlantis pg ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife (non-diver) and I are planning on attending a wedding in Manila in May and I'm looking at doing a 5 day dive package at the Atlantis Beach Resort at Puerto Galera after the festivities.. Anyone have any info on the resort and the diving there?

The resort is great. Rooms are very nice, food is excellent and the staff are extremely friendly. It's not cheap compared to other options in the area, but you get what you pay for. The only downside is Sabang itself. The "beach" is more like silt and isn't suitable for swimming or sunbathing. The town itself is also fairly seedy, though it offers the most bars and restaurants of any in the area. If you want a nice beach and a quieter location, try Small Laguna, Big Laguna or White beaches near Sabang.

As for the diving, there is a ton of macro life and great biodivirsity. Just don't expect many big fish, colorful corals or crystal clear visibility. However, if you take a day trip to nearby Verde Island, the colors are much better and the visibility is solid.
