I just came back from Roatan after a week of diving. I was going to plan ahead and dive with one of the popular dive shops in the West End before going, but I'm glad I didn't. The first day I walked around and walked by Atlantic Sea Divers. Met two of the instructors who are really nice and knew right then that I wanted to dive with them. since we were looking for a place near the water we checked out the hotel right there (Half Moon Bay Resort) which has very reasonable prices for rooms. They do have an A/C unit in the rooms and loved the rustic feel of the place. Since it's apparently low season there, my friend and I were sometimed the only ones going out on dives, so we were totally spoiled last week. The instructors are super friendly and know their stuff. It's also a local run business and the hotel is as well, which i really liked. We dove at various sites between the West End Wall and sites off of Sandy Bay, and the instructors are open to suggestions/preferences. Prices for the dives included rental equipment, and the crew do all the work loading things on/off the boat, and hooking up the BC's, etc. I'd highly recommend them if you want a relaxing experience.
