I heard on the news (radio) the other day that a town in California was going to pass a by-law prohibiting Dihydrogen Monoxide. The day the council was to vote someone told them what Dihydrogen Monoxide was.

somebody has waaaayyyyy too much time on their hands....
But, yes it was funny! thanks for the laugh!

AmyJ - those are the best kind! I'm waiting for my cousins to read it.. one will get it, one wont :)
I can't believe it. Sent it to my dad and brother.. both very SMART types that just know everything. Didn't hear back, so called brother... said "ya, I got your email, read through it a bit... just figured you are on some new environment kick" I was FLOORED!!! :dropmouth This from my brainy brother... finally I clued him in... he was hysterical. So I had to call my dad... ya, he got it... said didn't read too much, but looked like pretty nasty stuff..... I couldn't even talk I was laughing so hard.:jump3: He laughed too when I clued him in, but got off the phone pretty quickly. I think it was hard on his fatherly male ego, but sure as heck made my day!!!!!!!!! Thanks!

I have been a DHMO addict since the day I was born. I was born a DHMO addict cause my mom was a severe DHMO addict herself.

I had to take DHMO everyday! I just can't stop taking it. I heat it up in microwave and put tea bag in it. I make coffee with it, I use mix it with food..... I even soak myself in it in the bath tub....kinky...... I just can't stop taking it everyday, can someone help me? Does Anyone has the remedy or suggestion to help me stop my addiction?

I need to go get some DHMO now. I like it ice cold on the rocks. :54:

Apparently a fancy piece of paper doesn't make one is smart....

Some of the local enginnering students got their professor to stop drinking from paper coffee cups because of the alarmingly high amount of DHMO found in them. This had gone on for the entire semester until one of his students clued him into what DHMO was.

I fear for the future engineers of the world....

I've been aware of the dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide for quite some time. As a precaution, I tend to dilute it with certain hydroxyl compounds if there is a likelyhood that I will be taking it internally. Seems to mitigate any dangerous effects, although I do get dizzy after a while.

say, would such hydroxyls be the end result of fermentation?
