Traveling to Aruba next June. Any suggestions on small dive outfits. Not into the large group thing at all. 6-8 divers max... Staying at the Marriott Beach Club

Thanks!

John

I have been diving in Aruba twice. The first time I used Red Sail, which I had an ok time with. I think that they have changed a bit, there is a lot of information in the boards about them. The last time I went diving with Diveversity and I won't dive with anyone else.

They are located very close to the Marriott, just behind Momba beach. The max they will take out is 10 with two instructors. They are a smaller shop that offers great service. They also have new gear (it is all less than a year old). They really do go out of their way to help folks out.

The other shop that I have heard good things about is JADS. The only draw back to them is they are on the south part of the island, so from the Marriott, it is about a 40 min car ride.

second the vote for JADS they have a shuttle to get you or grab a rental car to go about. $ 160 u.s. for the week. The other end of the island and baby beach are a great place to venture off to.
first class op.

I would also recommend you look at Dive with Clive - divearuba.com
I am diving with him this week. If you don't need a lot of babysitting, he will let you dive for max bottom time. You will only be limited by your computer, air and your buddy. Each of my dives was 60 minutes. He says he only takes 7 and we always had 5 or 6 while with him. He is moored outside of the renassaince marina downtown and we had divers coming from the north end to dive with him. I would not dive with anyone else once I saw other boats show up while we were in the water and leave before we surfaced.
