Aruba has it's fair share of "big" animals. So far I have seen 4 reef sharks, 3 or 4 stingrays about 3' across and several large sea turtles. Aruba was rated the caribbean best wreck destination because they have some of the best wrecks. I like to see a wreck that is still standing, not a pile of boards on the bottom that "used" to be a famous ship.

Stichus III, the debbie II fuel barge is also a good dive. It's not the biggest wreck but you have to move fish out of your way to see anything and there is a big resident green moray that is usually out and about on the deck.

At the South Eastern tip of the island (near San Nicolas) Nurse Sharks, Southern Stingray’s, Hawksbill Turtle’s and Spotted Eagle Ray’s are regularly encountered. For some reason this year has brought many Spotted Eagle Ray’s, but fewer Southern Stingray’s. On my last 3 dives in this area, I saw 10 Eagle Ray’s, 2 Nurse Sharks and 3 Hawksbill Turtle’s.

And yes Ontwreckdiver, the Debbie II, although not nearly as large as the Antilla or Jane C, is also a good wreck, as it stands upright in the water.

Thanks for all the info on where to stay and dive. I think we are going to book with the Amsterdam Manor and we'll choose a small dive shop later after we decide on the dive sites we really want to see.

My SO is really looking forward to the wrecks as she has only seen one in Hawaii.

I dove baby beach w/ Jads - Awesome drift dive with a nice photo opportunity next to the cross - If you have non divers in your group, they can hang out by the very picturesque baby beach ;) Have a nice stay, I'm jealous !!!!
