bvmjethead.....if your relationship is like our's, it will only get better with your son as time passes. The bad part is that time passes quickly. I realized today, as my son turned 12, we only have 5 more years of diving before he is away at college. I may not let him go or he will need to attend a school on the (a) coast. Or, I may sign him up for a vocational school that teaches dive equipment repair and we'll use his college fund as travel money.
