The direct flights from Aruba to Bonaire take 45 minutes and they will have service to Bonaire on Tues, Thurs, Sat, and Sunday.

So if you can find a cheap easy flight to Aruba then you may be able to connect to Bonaire!

I just ran it for a one week round trip and it came in at $218. Not bad given all of the additional flights that go to Aruba vs. BON and CUR.

One free carry on and one free check bag. $50 for an extra check bag.

I just checked Chicago to Aruba flights and I found a RT non-stop flight for $527, and a one-stop flight for $415; so even with another $218 to get from Aruba to Bonaire - that's not too bad.

The last time we went to Bonaire it was an expensive and arduous journey and we had to get there a day early and stay over because the weird time of arrival. This could be a better option!

It's also worth noting that these flights will be flown via regional jet, which has less restrictive carry-on and luggage rules than the smaller planes flown by Insel and Divi Divi.

I was just goofing around with Suncountry airlines which goes NS from MSP to Aruba on Saturdays during the winter. Those flights would not work with that Aruba Airlines flights though. @wwguy it looks like they are flying A320s so big birds compared to the RJs.

I've never been to Aruba, it might be fun to spend a few days there on the way to Bonaire, if we have the time.

I looked into the RT costs from AUA to BON. It's no cheaper to fly ATL-AUA-BON than flying direct. And, I would need to have hotels in AUA coming and going. Now..., if I, or my friends, need to bug out due to a home emergency midweek, this is a great option. Thank you for posting it.

What can you fly direct to Bonaire from ATL, is it Delta? I cannot get anything direct to Bonaire from Chicago, so a direct flight to Aruba with a short connection to Bonaire might be nice - if the days and times work out.
