When is the next restoration dive in the keys? Because I'd love to do it.

Crazytom - check Coral Restoration Foundation. Several local dive shops run the trip and classes. Thanks. It's a blast to plant the corals. The nursery is a very interesting dive.

Crazytom...Just saw this on the Coral Restoration FaceBook page...Dive the Staghorn Nursery and Wellwood restoration site with CRF on January 22! Divers receive a morning introduction to CRF's nursery and restoration program, followed by two dives in the afternoon helping with coral maintenance. Contact Key Largo Dive Center to make your reservation today! 305-451-5844.

If there is room on the boat I will be going with this group. The Wellwood site is the best example of how CRF is making a difference. You will like it.

Thanks for the intro to the CRF. I'd heard of REEF before but not these guys... just joined them on Facebook and will try to find out more and maybe do a dive with them or take a class when I'm in the keys this spring.

    You are quite welcome.
Thanks for joining the CRF FB page. And please let me know when you plan to come to the Keys. You will be favorably impressed with the coral nursery, it's a fantastic place. We are doing a program this weekend through Key Largo Dive Center. If you let them know when you are coming they can add you to the class if they are going out. Or if you are coming with a group let them know.
