Ron Popiel is the "Ron" in Ronco.

When diving at the Alhambra site, I don't dig. I find what is on the top of the sand and clay. Want to ruin what little viz you do have? Dig in clay. OTOH, there are sites in the Venice area with nice sandy bottoms. I use a screen box and a small garden shovel in those areas. These things don't look especially practical. Garden tools are better designed.

Did anyone notice the name that the seller used?... "One more chance scuba".The kind of guy that I wouldn't want to buy from. Those scoopers look like salad tongs that I have seen at the dollar store...hhmmm.
Wish I still had the link for one that I saw. She was selling a couple masks, dry suit(farmer John), dive bag and "regulator". All equipment was AT LEAST 10 years old and hadn't been used in that time. The seller had gotten it from a friend that gave up diving so it was second hand to boot. The regulator, as she called it, was a Sherwood BC. Looked like it was the step after the horse collar BC. At any rate she sold it for almost $50...WOW. And to put the icing on the cake she was charging almsot $40 for shipping. A sucker is born every minute.

P.T. Barnum was so right on the mark when he made that famous quote.

I remember years ago at the annual exhibition and fare, a sign over an attraction that said "SEE THE MAN EATING CHICKEN, ONLY $1". When people entered the attraction, that was exactly what they saw, a man, eating fried chicken.
