We do have a cunning plan however. In order to get to a dive site your car may have to be filled in gallons BTW not the US gallon ! and while you're thinking of the difference you may indeed have driven many miles.
Alas Kompressor we do have less enlightened souls who use the A clamp but at least the depth of their misery can be measured in metres - note the spelling BTW - someone who is English and spells litres/metres incorrectly deserves time in hell or failing that, a dive in Wraysbury (a site which has lots of muck and very little to see- a real muck fest!).
Of course, I say this tongue in cheek but the UK is moving ever closing to full adoption of the metric system. It's only a question of time before some cheap yukky Frenchman decides we have to drive on on the wrong side of the road
