If you need me to take different shot let me know..

You need the "born on" date, the first hydro date.

I saw one that was 7 86, and I think the blue one was 2 88. They "look like" 7 A 86 and 2 A 88 . . . A is the hydro place.

The hydro dates are M YY or MM YY, and they are to the right of the Luxfer name.

Frankly, if they are before 1990, they are suspect. That's what I have garnered from all my reading. However, I'm sure a tank expert will chime in soon.

My 4th one has a date of 08A94

Oops, missed that. Yes 94 is good, Luxfer switched to 6061 alloy in 89 I believe

thanks everyone! Damn..

Ok so I heard they can be handed in for scrap any idea what I would get per tank.. roughly? Or any other ideas for us..

I picked them up for $44 a tank.. ERR boy do I feel dumb. So Im out $132 because I was impatient.

Or just get a proper hydro/vis/eddie current test and use at will . . . with the correct test protocol, the risk is negligible, if any at all.

Scrap AL is about $0.50 per pound. Also, at least around here they reguire a large hole to be drilled in them.....the reason sounded BS but in any case, require it so be prepaired.
If properly tested they are still OK to use but depending on how much BS you get from a dive shop it may not be worth it.
