Are there any big events around the Connecticut area? I'm a newbie and thought I'd throw that out there.:classic::daydreaming:

Sadly I have not gone to any of them but im sure ther are some folks who post in the NELD section of SB that have. You could also check out some of the dive clubs they have info on other events as well.

I recomend the DUI dog days. Even if you don't plan to dive dry anytime soon (as should be the case with you given how few dives you have) it's still fun to give one a try.

For what it is worth I live in Massachusetts but I consider the Beneath the Sea show located in the New Jersey Meadowlands to be a better show than the Sea Rovers show in Boston.

The show is better, the admission is less and there is no fee for parking. It takes me between 2 - 2.5 hours to get to the Sea Rovers and about 3 hours to get to the Beneath the Sea show. It takes longer than 3 hours to get home from the Beneath the Sea show however (more traffic).
