Aquarium Shark Dives?

most shark dives with the bigger sharks are at 30m+ ( i believe , well its were iv seen most sharks ) so u add the narced aspect to it ... so the tank idea is def gonna be safer , i doubt they'll even notice u

I'm on the volunteer dive team at the Virginia Aquarium. Diving with the critters on a regular basis is awesome. We also get the regular opportunity to work on basic dive skills when the ocean is a balmy 45 degrees.

The controlled dives offered by some aquariums are exactly that - controlled. If you are looking for a dive to be up-close and-personal with fish, then they are great. If you are hoping to do lots of swimming or hand feeding etc. you may be disappointed.

With the litigous nature of the country, I don't imagine to much could go wrong otherwise they wouldn't offer it. I'd like to do one myself.

DiveQuest at Ecpot at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fl was pretty fun. They have a couple of pretty good size ones and a few smaller ones. It's done in their 5.7 million gallon system. 203' foot of viz

some said it was a bit of a disappointment because the environment was too controlled; it didn't really feel like a real dive.

Yeah, that.
Wearing 40lbs of lead and walking around on the bottom didn't help either.

Have done this. Very cool. Best part is the looks on the faces of the people in the aquarium, restaurant, etc watching. Especially the children.

My kids got a big kick out of seeing dad swim with sharks.
