Dove Aquarena this afternoon with JP TX Diver, had the whole lake to ourselves. Weather was great warm and sunny at near 75 degrees. Had a little technical issue with a HP hose on JP's rig so had to run the whole 2.5 miles home to get a spare, got there at noon but due to the leaky hose we didn't make it into the water until 1:30. The new Jumpsuits (Leotards) are bordering on ridiculous (see photos) but slightly entertaining. Besides looking like Mexican wrestlers, the dive went great, Water was 71 degrees, vis was about 50 ft, since the spring flow has been lowered due to our lack of rain there is an abundant carpet of algae over everything. Got to break in a set of OTS Buddy phones on the dive and after getting the Duck-bill tightened up and seated right they worked great. I also dove my new Oceanic Probe LX (picked up Sat at Scuba Toys) fits like a tailored suit, LOVE IT! Dive was about 80 minutes, and we covered Cream of Wheat to Deep Hole and back. Check out my Gallery for more Pictures.

But man, that viz looks awesome. I wish they didn't charge $200+ for their training program or I'd be there in a heartbeat - yellow "mexican wrestler" jumpsuit and all.

Glad to hear you had a good dive. When I was up there last month it looked alot better than a most of last year. We are going up Sunday to make a few dives since it has been a few weeks since I have been in the water. I hope there are too many people up there but atleast there shouldn't be many in the lake.

Good grief, those lemon-colored jumpsuits! Next, they'll put numbers on you like NASCAR...

:shakehead

Yep, that's how rediculous I looked in those yellow suits! Anyone going to the hydrilla removal at Rio Vist park on March 15-16?

We'll be at Aquarena next week, the 15-17. Supposed to dive around 11 to noon. Join us if you want to!
