Is the Aquanauts in Puerto Adventuras the same operator as the Aquanauts in Puerto Morelos? Affiliated or two completely separate businesess? Not that it matters but I was just curious. I like to refer my friends to Aquanauts if they are going to the Puerto Adventuras area (closer to the cenotes) but I find it confusing when I do a WWW search. I hope I'm not sending people in the wrong direction.

Diablo Divers and Aquanauts in Puerto Adventuras are owned by Dennis. The 2 web sites have a link to one another. talk to Mar, she knows him.

Steve - I dove with him a couple of years ago when he was freelancing and using the boats out of Akumal (or wherever he could find an opening). Good guy and a good diver.

I drove 45 minutes each way to dive with Aquanauts in Puerto Aventuras. Really nice folks there...They only mentioned a 'sister shop' in Cozumel that they could arrange dives for you....Otherwise I believe independently operated.

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately someone else in Mexico started using the name Aquanauts even though we have been in business for 9 years and own the trade mark (here in Mexico MR). Hopefully they will stop using the name and end the little bit of confusion that it has caused. The original Aquanauts is in Puerto Aventuras NOT Puerto Morelos. If you need a great dive shop in Puerto Morelos, I will be happy to send you to see Brett at Dive in Puerto Morelos.

I really appreciate the support from everyone at Scubaboard, if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't be living my dream... 5 1/2 years and going great.

Cheers,

Dennis

Owner - Aquanauts.

i haven't dove with aquanuts yet but plan to in june when my wife and i come down. ive been corresponding w/ someone in their shop and they've been a lot of help. not only with dive stuff but with other things too. i still haven't decided many things so still thinking about all that. i believe i'm going to do one of their packages which consists of 4 reef dives, 2 cenote dives & 2 cozumel dives.

My fiance and I just returned from a week in Puerto Morelos and we used Aquanuts (in the same town) for a dive shop. Their web site is

Aquanauts Dive Adventures

I spent a considerable amount of time talking to the owners (William and Crescent) as well as Issac (our dive master) and have nothing but great things to say about their operation and attention to safety.

They are a small operation but have a very impressive history in terms of experience. Both William and Issac have over 15 years of diving (commercial, cave, etc.) and we both felt very comfortable diving with them.

Due to the weather (port was closed every day but one) we had to scrub all but one of our ocean dives. William and company were very flexible and we traded our ocean dives for Centoe dives. Boy are we glad we did!

Issac knows them all very well and gave us some of the best dives we ever had!

I do not have any affiliation with Aquanuts but would recommend them without hesitation and we would definitely use them again if we are in the area.
