I found an Aqualung Titan first stage in the bottom of my scuba bin. I learned from an old thread on SB that this first stage was produced from 1999-2008. Attached is a pic from that thread; I have the same item. I have an old console and two Scubapro R190s, thinking about assembling a beater regulator set. Is this Aqualung Titan first stage worth servicing and putting back into use?

DIY, yes because the service kit is pretty easy to source and there are aftermarket options

paying a shop, maybe not due to labor costs these days

Yes, a fine choice for a second team reg set and good for first team as well.
Keep an eye on IP health and they are capable of long stretches between service. I have two Titans of that vintage and not going to say how many years since last service, they are solid first stages.

Much thanks for the comments, everybody! Based on your input I will keep the first stage and make an all-around beater with the parts I have available.

None of the divers in my circle would ever refer to the apparatus that helps sustain their life while below the surface as an "all-around beater", nor would they treat their regulator as such. I hope your word choice is not reflective of your dive and maintenance practices.

I have a Scubapro Mk17/G250/S555 set and two Apeks ATX200 sets that I use in the rotation. I also have a Scubapro Mk11/G250/S560 awaiting new hoses and servicing before I place into rotation. I'm leaning more Scubapro nowadays, and the Apeks sets will most likely get shelved.

I took the Titan down to the folks at my LDS, but they don't service Aqualung. They pointed me towards Scuba Gear Service in Tomball, Texas. I emailed for a quote for servicing the Titan including both R190s, and the reply came back totaling $245.

With the Mk11 coming into play, I'll sit on the Titan for now. It's definitely a nice flex option with all my extra parts in the bin.
