First disclaimer: I am a certified AquaLung repair technician working for a local dive shop

Hello all - I have a few old (but still in great shape) with the exception of the Purge Cover. Two questions for the techie group.

  • Does anyone have any original Titan LX Purge covers (PRE 2008)?
  • AL said the replacement covers and rings are backordered until LATE spring/summer. Does anyone have any replacement covers
    • Titan LX purge cover (p/n RG911592) and diaphragm retainer (p/n RG911667)
Looking for two or three?

It is unlikely that you will be able to source the covers and retainer, at least I could not. The Titan LX is among my all time favs, it just works. It basically sucks to be forced to upgrade due ot lack of parts. But that is AL for you. I would upgrade the customer to Scubapro.

I could sell you the whole darn regulator set for 150 dollars, two nice seconds and a Supreme first. All in perfect working order, no scratches or damage of note. But that is overkill I know. I have tried several shops to get me a cover for the newer Core and after two years gave up.

@buddhasummer might be able to help though I know he gets inundated with these sorts of request and is such a nice feller!

I may take you up on that. Not a bad deal and you are correct - it is like the Apple of dive regs. Just works.

Do you have the part number you are looking for for the CORE? I have a drawer with a bunch of Core face plates.

My Core Supreme is brand new, I need a standard or Supreme cover to replace the yellow octopus cover because I dive long hose. I need a 129912 or 129918 purge cover to make my Core second stages match. I just need one.

The Titan LX Supreme I have (possibly for sale to a good home) is what most would call mint, I think I still have the box. It is a good regulator. I would toss it in my bag and head around the world with it no worries. I got the Core Supreme a few years back (for services rendered) which is the same regulator really as the Titan LX Supreme but has the ACD. I have just gone off into the G250/G260 world and at 70 yo I am trying to un-size my dive locker to equipment that uses the same service kits.

Back when the Titan was my main go to regulator:

It has been ready backup for a long time, though I never needed it. But a couple of years ago, diving out of Jupiter, a very techie feller had a first stage failure when he turned air on at the dive sight. So he was not going to be able to dive. He had a fancy Halycon (G250) so you know the type ;). I reached in my bag and pulled out the Titan LX and told him here, use this. He took it but held it out as if with disdain. After the first dive he gushed over it. Yeah, anyways it was funny.

Below is a link to the Core cover you want (I have bought parts from them)

Your particular cover is out of stock. But they do have the alternative/later? colour in stock.

And the diaphragm retainers

They are in Poland. I have to arrange shipping by email; because they don’t normally ship internationally: they need to do an individual shipping quote; and I use PayPal to pay. I find them a good source for AL/Apeks parts. Unfortunately they don’t do any Scubapro.

These pictures show compatible covers for the Titan LX second stage body.
