The package I got was:

Legend LX + LX octi + Pro QD + Cobra.

Would you mind sharing with the rest of us what that package set you back? I've been thinking of almost the exact same setup, except a vyper instead of a cobra.

I have the exact same package. It's been about a year but I think it was around $1400.

In any case, the Titan LX has been great.

I think the Cobra will save you the SPG. It has exactly the same capabilities of the Vyper + air integration so you won't need an SPG.

I have a Titan LX Supreme. I have over 200 dives on it in "temperate" water and not a single complaint. It breathes well (and dry) in any position and as with all Aqualung regs is easy to find servicing for, etc.

I don't think you could be disappointed with this purchase.

I'm probably going to get a Legend LX myself this year, trully great regulator. I have the Cobra computer as well, and I love it like no other piece of gear I have.

In terms of MR22 Vs. Titan, I know the Titan is supposed to be in a "lower" class, but in all the diving i've done, and between all the people i've spoken to, the titan just performs better in more conditions and is more comfortable.

One oppinion in particular I take very seriously is that of the tech who services my regulators. He does the regulators for local police, fire, rescue and even FBI dive teams, and he'll be the first to tell you that on breathing machines, the MR22 performes well, but the titan goes head to head with it, and in real world situations, it seems to do better. Not only that, but parts and repairs for the aqualung cost me about 1/2 of what the mr22 costs me.

The MR22 is a great regulator, I can list hundreds of them that don't hold a candle to it, especially the 20+ year old sherwood piston regs I originally rented to get certified with, but I just prefer my titan to the MR22.

Probably not much use to you, but it set me back $3200, but thats NZD. the titan LX package was $2400 but that had a ABS octi, and vyper. so the extra money only really paid for one upgrade ;)

the shop had it for cheaper than the importer/local agent who had it on special. so thats a pretty good price around here.

Wife has been looking at the TItan LX for her first reg. LDS has for $375 and they have the current special of a free ABS Octo.

Also looking at the Delta 4 at another LDS. Its not that much more money. Good info on this thread.

Here's a question for you. LDS that sells Aqualung tells me that my Atomic T1 is not as good a reg because its "old fashioned" in the piston design. He would never use a piston design reg.

Now being relatively new to diving and reading all the info. and reviews of the Atomic products I guess I just don't understand the technical side of reg. construction enough to know if he's correct.

Any thoughts.
