I don't know which model Titan it is (I was given it and it just says "Titan") but I am extremely happy with mine. I've done maybe 700 dives on it and it hasn't even been serviced. I did have a problem with a pinhole in the 2nd stage diaphragm, but as I didn't have a spare I simply mended it with a dab of AquaSeal. 200 dives on it's still fine. I haven't used it in cold water so I can't be sure how it would perform, but I have taken it pretty deep (300') and had no reservations about it. A great regulator.

What, those prices are less than LeisurePro???????

AquaLung Legend LX ACD Supreme Regulator - 499.95

I have a Legend LX Supreme and a Titan LX Supreme and have dove both in fairly deep (90' to 100')and cold water (down to 40 degrees) without incident. Both breathed well although the Legend was a little easier at depth.

I used to have scubapro MK26 S600s and liked those as well but had a freeflow incident in the colder water. I did some research since and found the MK25 is not a great cold water reg even though SP touts it as such. I eventually sold all my SP regs and went to the Aqualungs, partly because of the cold water and partly because it was harder to get the SP's serviced locally.

The Legends are environmentaly sealed and the Titan Supreme is too so that is another plus for cold water. Everyone around me services AQ so that sealed it for me.
YMMV

You can by my Apex ATX50 setup then I can buy myself the new Apeks XTX100 :)

The Titan LX is a fine performer, I have both it and a Legend and many others, I can tell no difference even at SIGNIFICANT depths well beyond what most sport divers would venture.

Sounds like you had the original standard Titan... the LX has an "LX" on it, and the LX Supreme looks just like the LX version except it has a lil' snowflake icon up an to the right of the LX icon.

I just bought a Titan LX Supreme last month for about $370 (came with octo). I love it... I've only had it as deep as 58' but it was 49 degrees down there an it breathes like a charm! :)

I expect several years out of this tried-an-true, time-tested near-bullet-proof reg. Great price for the level of Quality.

Does anyone know if there is a "free octo" deal in near future for AL? Seems like they have been running it couple of seasons but have not seen it marketed.

What's the difference between them in use? If I do have the original, is there a current model that mine corresponds to?

Hi all,
I have been out of diving for awhile and I am now in a place where I can focus on diving. I was wondering what recommendations you guys could give on regulators and octopus. I plan on taking as many certifications as I can. So, I am looking for the most versicle too. thank you.
